The school offers German language instructions for all ages and abilities, from pre-school to adult, from beginners to fluent speakers. Classes are held at Mississauga in Ogden Street on Saturday mornings. Deutsche Sprachschule Friedrich Schiller is an educational institution with experienced, certified and caring language teachers who place emphasis on creative teaching methods.
The German Language School teaches all aspects of the German language in speaking, reading, writing and aural/oral comprehension. Students are prepared to communicate effectively in German, use correct grammar, appropriate vocabulary, standard orthography and correct pronunciation. In addition, cultural, geographical and historical topics appropriate to each level are an integral part of the curriculum. An extensive library and video collection are available to all students.
Classes are held each Saturday from 9:15am to 12:30pm, from September till June at the Gordon Graydon Secondary School, 1490 Ogden Ave., Mississauga. New students are welcomed even during the year. All classes are small (6-12 students only).
The Friedrich Schiller Schule has established a Scholarship Program. As of the school year 2006/2007 an award of $250.00 for best student of the year will be awarded. The following assumption for the award shall be: The student must live in Canada for a minimum of 6 years, attend our school for the last 6 consecutive years and must have a final grade of 90 % or more. If no one in Grade 12 reaches this mark a student from a lesser grade may be eligible.
