About Us

“Our qualified language teachers and staff are dedicated in kindling a love for the German language. We welcome any student who has an interest in German and we are committed to fostering the German heritage, language and culture.”

The Friedrich Schiller School opened its doors in September 1972 with 270 students. German was taught by qualified language teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 13.

The school was named after the great German poet Friedrich Schiller.  Schiller’s love of beauty, truth and virtue, and of the arts, and his search for inner freedom and peace are all values that we have hoped to pass on to our students over the last years.

Teachers and administrative staff have always tried their best to kindle love and interest for the German language in their students.  Stage performances complemented by the sounds of the School Choir on various festive occasions have helped to achieve this goal.  The school principal organized 5 trips to Germany for groups of 20-25 students.  These young people learned a lot about the country and its people, travelling on foot, by car and sleeping in youth hostels.  In 1978, they visited Wallerstein, the birthplace of Wiliam Berczy, the builder of Yonge Street in Toronto.

Since 1984, the Friedrich Schiller School is allowed to hold examination for Diploma I and II, tests offered by the German government to students who wish to be accepted by educational institutions in Germany.  Once a year, our school participates in a province-wide competition for German.  Once again, our school performed exceptionally well.

In 1999, Mrs. Christa Guschewski received the Bundesverdienstkreuz from German government for her dedication and commitment to foster the German heritage, language and culture.

Principals and teachers of other schools visited us often and even former Premier Bill Davis spent a whole morning at our school.

Our goal is to give you an interactive tour of our new and used inventory, as well as allow you to conveniently get a quote, schedule a service appointment, or apply for financing.  The search for a luxury car is filled with high expectations.   Undoubtedly, that has a lot to do with the vehicles you are considering, but at Motors, we think you should also have pretty high expectations for your dealership.
